PI (π) Day

March 14 All day

Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi), observed on March 14 since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. The holiday was first celebrated in 1988 in the United States by Larry Shaw, an employee of the Exploratorium science museum in San Francisco.

Why we celebrate it:
Pi Day honors mathematics, curiosity, and the joy of learning. It’s a day to recognize the beauty of numbers, celebrate STEM, and inspire creativity in science, technology, engineering, and math.
