Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day

May 15 All day

Honor Service and Sacrifice During National Police Week

National Police Week is a time dedicated to honoring the brave law enforcement officers who serve and protect their communities every day. Observed each year in May, this important week coincides with May 15, known as Peace Officers Memorial Day, a day set aside to remember officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice or who have been disabled in the line of duty.

National Police Week was officially established in 1962 when the United States Congress designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which it falls as National Police Week. Since then, it has become a meaningful national observance that recognizes the courage, dedication, and service of law enforcement officers across the country.

Throughout the week, thousands of officers, families, and supporters gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in a series of commemorative events. These include a moving candlelight vigil honoring fallen officers, memorial services that pay tribute to their sacrifice, and educational seminars that bring together members of the law enforcement community. These events not only remember those who gave their lives but also support the families and colleagues they left behind.

Communities across the nation also take part by organizing ceremonies, moments of remembrance, and public appreciation for local police officers who work tirelessly to maintain safety and order. The week serves as a powerful reminder of the risks officers face and the dedication they show in protecting others.

To recognize this important occasion, we proudly present our National Police Week Print On Demand designs. Created with respect and appreciation, these designs honor the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of law enforcement professionals. Each piece is designed to help supporters express gratitude and remembrance while spreading awareness about the importance of the law enforcement community.

By wearing or sharing these designs, you help celebrate the service of those who protect our communities and ensure that the sacrifices of fallen officers are never forgotten.
